A Long Time Gone
This is the rather reluctant, yet brave Jonas at the Tulsa zoo in the Rainforest. The funny thing is I didn't even mention holding the statue's hand, I just asked him to sit next to it.
Me and the water-loving little girl who looks completly different now, ah how time flies.
Me and Linds spending a much-needed girls daytrip in San Fransisco. Lounging at the Marin Headlands watching the surfers, eating seafood at a restaurant with the word 'mermaid' in the title, taking a coffee to the Palace of Fine Arts. Good times.
I realize its been nearing a year since I last blogged....but for good reason. It seems there are times in your life when you are meant to simply live, observe, learn a few things, and then go on the next phase in life encouraged and ready for an adventure.

Pan's Labyrinth

Where have I been? I remember this movie coming out and thinking, hmm.....that looks interesting. And that was it, so tonight we rented it. Holy hell.......surprise #1: its in spanish with english subtitles. surprise #2: its about the spanish civil war. surprise #3: i can't decide how i feel about it. You know when you watch a movie and when its over you sit there watching the credits roll by thinking....??? Thats what happened. It was so brutal, there were several times I turned my head. But it was lovely as well, and had more than a few harry potter moments. I don't know. Oh, I really liked the lullaby too. If you find this in the least bit interesting (you won't hurt my feelings if you don't, no worries) , then I highly suggest you go to http://www.panslabyrinth.com/ and read the behind the story part. The director is really interesting and has alot of cool things to say about Spain, fairytales, and reality.
